On June 12th, four Boy Scouts lost their lives while attending camp.  What started out as a time of fun, fellowship, and Scouting turned out to be a devistating day for many.  With a nation full of grief, our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the four boys.

The boys we are honoring are:

Aaron Eilerts, 14, of Eagle Grove, Iowa              Josh Fennen, 13, of Omaha, Nebraska
Sam Thomsen, 13, of Omaha, Nebraska            Ben Petrzilka, 14, of Omaha, Nebraska

Within each of your families, units, religious organizations, and shools, please take a moment, in silence, to remember them and their families.

In order to assist them, The Spirit of Scouting is seeking to raise $40,000 to offset the funeral costs for the brave, well deserving Scouts.  Please strongly consider donating.  Every little bit helps.  The families of these boys are hurting and have suffered a great loss.  It is our hope that we, as a Scouting community, can help by removing the financial burden as greatly as possible.

Donations can be made through August 31st securely through the Internet by PayPal, or by mailing a check to:
